Royal Greenland is the largest supplier of cold water prawns in the world and one of the leading groups within fishing, processing, production, marketing, and distribution of seafood products.

Umiaq Arctic Line Ltd

The company undertakes passenger traffic in Greenlandic waters. Umiaq Arctic Line Ltd was founded in 1774 and is owned by Air Greenland Ltd and Royal Arctic Line Ltd today.

The housing association INI was established in 1995 to ensure an efficient operation of the dwellings of the Home Rule Government and the municipalities.

Great Greenland Ltd

Great Greenland Ltd buys seal skin from Greenlandic hunters from all of Greenland and thereby offers hunters with an opportunity to sell their catch at competitive prices. The company produces fur and sealskin products, primarily for export.

In 2002, the publicly owned company which is part of the administration and funded by a net appropriation with Great Greenland Ltd, continuing under the latter name.

The company is the former Greenland Tourism Ltd. The company now also provides advice to land-based businesses.

KNI Ltd

KNI formerly consisted of KNI Pilersuisoq Ltd and KNI Pisiffik Ltd. In 2002, the former subsidiary KNI Pilersuisoq Ltd merged with the parent company KNI Ltd under the name of the latter corporation.

NUKA Ltd and its subsidiary, the Neqi Ltd slaughterhouse, were handed over to KNI Ltd in 2005. NUKA Ltd has later changed its name to Arctic Green Food Ltd.

Pisiffik Ltd

Pisiffik is the largest privately owned retail company of Greenland. The chain operates 36 supermarkets, convenience stores, and specialty shops in the six largest towns of Greenland.

In addition to ten large supermarkets, Pisiffik operates Spar, Jysk, IDEmøbler, Pisattat, and Torrak Fashion.

 

Pisiffik is owned by the Dagrofa Retail Group (holding the majority of the shares), by a wide range of Pisiffik employees, and by the Government of Greenland.

Earlier known as NUKA Ltd, Arctic Green Food produces fish products for the domestic market and for exports. The subsidiary Neqi Ltd in Narsaq butchers and processes lamb, musk and reindeer.
